In partnership with Danish sustainable design consultancy GXN, and sponsored by Oxford Properties, Transforming to Zero is a research initiative focused on helping laboratories and life sciences organisations accelerate their transition to a low-carbon future. Drawing on two years of research and engagement with more than 50 laboratory owners, operators and developers, the paper provides practical guidance across three connected areas: enabling organisational change, improving laboratory operations and behaviours, and designing adaptable, lower-carbon buildings. It translates industry insight into clear actions that organisations can apply across their estates and operations without compromising scientific performance.
