In July 2016, we were appointed to provide Project Management services for a phased refurbishment and relocation project for Ascential, a London Stock Exchange-listed media, events, and publishing company. The project's primary objective was to design and execute the refurbishment of office space in Paddington to support Ascential's strategic business transformation, which involved consolidating two separate business streams into a unified workspace.

A critical aspect of this project was the relocation of Ascential’s highest-performing division, Lions Festivals, from their West London office into the newly refurbished Paddington space. With a strict deadline of January 3, 2017, for full occupation, the timeline aligned with the seasonal demands of the business operations.

We led a systematic stakeholder engagement process during the briefing and design phases, ensuring that all key requirements were thoroughly captured and addressed. Detailed planning sessions with client stakeholders allowed for the successful translation of space needs, meeting requirements, and unique working practices into a high-quality office environment.

The first phase of the internal move was executed over a single weekend, involving a complete strip-out and repopulation of a floor, with no disruption or downtime for the relocated teams. By effectively managing the professional team and construction deliverables, we ensured that the accelerated delivery programme was seamlessly applied throughout the project.
