Frontier Developments, a leading publicly listed video game developer, recognised the need for a larger workspace as it rapidly outgrew its existing premises. The project aimed to deliver a new head office that would not only accommodate the growing workforce but also provide state-of-the-art production facilities to maintain Frontier's competitive edge in the gaming industry.
The new facility is designed to serve multiple functions, including hosting marketing and media presentations for new product launches and public relations events. The building supports the entire creative process, from initial concept development through to market-ready production.
The delivery of the project involved meticulous planning to accommodate a diverse range of room specifications. These included high-specification meeting and boardrooms equipped with video conferencing (VC) technology, as well as audio-visual (AV) editing rooms, audio mixing suites, collaborative labs (C-labs), streaming and multiplayer rooms, and sound booths.
The main office floors feature an open-plan layout, complemented by breakout spaces and various tea points to foster collaboration and creativity. A large commercial kitchen and café on the ground floor further enhance the work environment, promoting a vibrant company culture and ensuring that Frontier Developments remains at the forefront of the video game industry.
